Convosify is built with privacy as a core principle. We believe your messages and communication data should remain private. This policy explains how Convosify handles your data.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• •Your API keys or credentials
• •Personal information or account data
• •Keystroke data or typing patterns
• •Application usage details from monitored apps

On-Device Processing

Message Guardian uses on-device machine learning to analyze your messages for potential tone issues. This processing happens entirely on your Mac:

• •The ML model runs locally using Apple's CoreML framework
• •No message content is sent to our servers or any external service
• •Analysis results are processed in memory and not stored

Text Enhancement Features

When you use Text Enhancement features (grammar correction, rephrasing, translation, etc.), Convosify sends your selected text to your chosen AI provider:

• •Claude (Anthropic) - Subject to Anthropic's privacy policy
• •GPT-4 (OpenAI) - Subject to OpenAI's privacy policy
• •Gemini (Google) - Subject to Google's privacy policy

You provide your own API key for these services. Your API key is stored locally on your device in macOS Keychain and is never transmitted to Convosify servers.

Accessibility Permissions

Convosify requires macOS Accessibility permission to read selected text in other applications and to detect when you're about to send a message. This access is used solely for the app's core functionality and is never used to collect or transmit your data.

Analytics

Our website uses Umami Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service. Umami does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and is fully GDPR compliant. We collect anonymous, aggregated data about website visits to improve our product.

Local Storage

Convosify stores the following data locally on your Mac:

• •Custom tone profiles you create
• •Your list of target applications for Message Guardian
• •API keys (encrypted in macOS Keychain)

Data Security

Since we don't collect your data, there's no data to secure on our end. Your API keys are stored securely using macOS Keychain, and all processing happens locally on your device.

Children's Privacy

Convosify is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
